WELTERWEIGHT CHAMP lONSHIP. .: ■ , . '
Everything points '.to :next Monday's tournament at the Town Hall proving one of the most successful of the season. The. championship contest between May, the holder of tho welterweight title, and Blackburn is being looked forward :to as likely to provide an exceptionally fast and vigorous exhibition, while the tenround return contest between Clinton and Overend needs no recommendation in view of the exciting ten rounds witnessed when the two men met on a previous occasion. There will be two tvmateur preliminaries, which should make up one of the best programmes seen in Wellington, for years. Tlie de-' mand for seats has been such as to suggest that there will be an overflow audience; Early door tickets can be procured at the box office.
