Atmore (Nelson) presented petitionin opposition-to., the-BWt Control Bill The petitions wore referred to the Viicultura], Pastoral, and Stock Conimi'--tee. . ?*v" '■?• •■/• W "Shfc (Wellington Sub, urbs) asked the Prime Minister whether he had received proposals from persons in ..Wellington to erect ICO four-roomed' .concrete cottages with kitchenettes at ±-950 ( each, including the land, provided the Government,would provide the necessary finance. -'-.... 7 Mr. /Massey' replied that he thought it would b 0 better if the question were put on the Order Paper, as. it was a. far too important one to be answered right away. It.would be better for the • gentlemen concerned -to submit their proposals to the Department and have them considered'there. Regarding the question of exchange,, the, Tfon. J.. A; Planan (Invcrcargill) asked the Pnm e Minister what was the character of the Central -Bank proposed to he established, and to which he had referred when'replying-, to Mr. ;Lvsnar yosterday. ... , , ..":.■■ '- Mr. Massey. said the idea cfr a Reserve Bank or Central Bank was a bank "that might be doing ordinary business with those people who might bo doing business" with .other hanks.
