WELLINGTON SOCIETY
The Spring Show of tlie Wellington Horticultural Society, to be held; this Friday, promises to be the'best yet held. Four years ago a start, was made with an exhibition of spring blooms in the Farmers' Institute. Every1 year since there has been a substantial advance in the interest taken, and in trie class and number of the blooms shown. Now the Wellington" Show is looked upon by growers as one of the best in the Dominion, and is patronised by those far and ne^r who wish to he up to date in the bulb world. Among the rare, and; expensive narcissi to be shown by outside exhibitors are King Harold, Alfred the Great, Royalty, . Johj) M'Lean, Robiespierre, and a number of other novelties to.be shown for the first'time in the Dominion. The Spring Show will be opened by the Mayor, at 3 o'clock. An orchestra will be in attendance both afternoon and evening.
