WANGANUI DEFEATS AUCKLAND
'■ _' WANGANUI, 10th September. TVanganui defeated Auckland by 10 points to 8, after a scrambling forward game marked by a dramatic ending. Auckland led by 5 points to nil at half-time,-a try. being--scored by Kenry ■at the end of a. forward rush, and converted by Ifwerson. ■ ' ■
Early in the second half, Collier, from a passing run, scored for Wanganui. Iff arson increased Auckland's score by three points with a fine penalty goal', and Dyke, at the end of a passing run, scored another try for Wanganui. Auckland maintained the lead until just on the call of time, when, in the midst of an attack by Ayanganui, M'Auliffo potted a goal, which gave the home team victory.
