(i)T TIiLBGUAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION^) TIMARU/ 10th'September. , Tho interprovincial Rugby 'match, Wellington against South Canterbury, attracted a large' attendaneo' to-day. Keen -interest was taken'in the match. Tho weather was beautifully fine, but the long-continued absence of rain, caysed the ground to bo very hard. This was felt considerably, though no ono was incapacitated on either side. As' a result, 'Wellington showed much better condition, and their backs were much superior to the local players, but in the forwards South Canterbury, were the better side. Play was fast and open. The game ended in a victory for Wellington by 25 points to 13. ' For the visitors tries were scored by K. Smith (3), G. Lang (2), J. Swain, and L. Preston..
