CHRISTCHURCH, 10th Sept. _ At the Addington market the entry of fat cattle, to-day was again heavy, about 30 percent, coming from the North Island. Fat sheep Were in rather, short supply, and the result was an easing in beef values and a hardening in mutton. Store: sheep.—There was a small entry, which included a few consignments of exceptional ewe hoggets. One pen of 74 Corriedales; with a good breeder's name behind themj sold- at the exceptional prico of 545, another pen of 370 halfbreds at 425. The sale of adult wethers and ewes and ewes with lambs showed little alteration. Extra good Corriedalo ewe hoggets 545, good half bred ewe hoggets 425, ordinary halfbred, owe- hoggets 32s 6d to 40s 3d, thrce-quarterbred ewe hoggets 34s lid, three-quarterbred wether hoggets 27s' to 28s 2d, halfbred wether hoggets 275, cull halfbred wether hoggets 21s, 7d to 24s - 6d, crossbred 26s,.mixed sex halfbred wether hoggets 28s lid, four and six-tooth halfbred wethers 36s 3d. to. 38s 7d, lower conditioned four and six-tooth wethers 33s 3d to 34s 6d, aged lialfbred ewes in lamb 21s 3d to 255, aged three-quarter-bred ewes with 100 per cent, lambs 13s 6d to 21s 6d (all counted); ten spring lambs made from 35s 6d to 42s 6d a head. .

Fat sheep.—A small entry, for which prices were firming, values" throughout the sale being in advances of last week by Is 6d a head. Graziers with feed were in the market, but with little success, and the sale concluded firmly.
