Three minutes before the dinner adjournment of the House of Representatives last night, Mr.- P.'Fraser (Wellington Central) moved for leave to introduce his : Housing Amendment Bill.! "Put it off to another day. • I want to talk on it," urged the Leader of the Opposition (Mr. TV M. Wilford). "No," . remarked the Prime-Minister, "we don't want to waste any.more time on...this."- ' ' . . v ..... Mr. .Wilford: "I -want to talk on tiiis." ; •■■;. ■ ■.- Mr. .Fraser said he would not. have time to discuss the Bill on the second
reading because the time had gone by for the second readings of private members' Bills. ■
Mr. W. D. Lysnar (Gisborna): "You have discussed, it ten times'- already." Mr. Fraser said he was. going to ask for a Committee of the House to be set
up to go into the housing question, which was so acute. . '
At this stage the discussion was interrupted'by the adjournment. . ' '■
