The snooting just completed for the August competitions of the above club proved most ' interesting. Mr. Franklyn,. with a score of 210,0ut of a posaible 210, wins Mr. Henderson's trophy in- the; A grade., "Mr. .Robertson, with 209, was second, winning Mr. Adams's, trophy. ■ Mr. Neill and Mr. TTettes take first and second prize respectively in; the B grade, with scores of 206. The leading averages for the month, are as follow :— Franklyn ... 69.5 Connibear ... 68 Caldwell ... 69.5 Adam» ....... 67.2 Kobertson ... 60.5 Dement . . C 7 Morris %m.3 Evans 67 Ahlers ....... 6S Fettes ~ 67 Otton 68 Scott '- 67.6 Congrove ... , 65.6 Nelll ." 87.8 Teall 68.8 Wltcombe ... 67.3 Hill 63.3 Hempleman .67 Spencer 6S In the inter-club competition the South A Team met; and defeated the Harbour Board A Team by a small margin. Three possibles wero registered during the- evening by Messrs. Franklyn and Bobertson for South, ■a.rid C'.~ M'Donald, the popular skipper of the Harbour Board Team. The shooting for the September competition, which commenced last -week, for trophies presented by Major Taylor and Mr. P. B. Goldfinch, is of a very high order, possibles being' registered by Messrs. Robertson, Congreve, Evans and Franklyn, 69's by Messrs. Ahlors, Goldfinch, Caldwell, Morris, Pudney, and Fettis, and 68's by Messrs. Adams and Otton. * ■ Tho club will be well represented at the Wellington championship meeting, so far about twenty members signifying their intention of being present."
