TWO FIRES AT HAWERA
:' (BK TELEGRAPH.—PRESS' ASSOCIATION.) 1 '•• . -. . ; HAWERA, This Day. Two fires ; occurred during the last twenty-four hours. The first ■ outbreak was late'yesterday, in a washhouse at the residence of E. M. Galvin. The brigade i was speedily on: the spot, and subdued the fire after'only' small damage had 4ieen done. The insurance on thu house is £750, in the State Office,. The second fire was nt 2.30 this morning at.v house outside the .borough. v The house was owned by Mr. Godfrey, and occupied by Mr. George! Richards. The brigade was unable to save the building, there being no water supply. ' It was totally destroyed, with the contents. .■ The insurance on the buildings was-£IOOO, in the Farmers' Mutual, and the furniture was insured for £200 in the Norwich Union Office..
