IIELSINGFORS, 19th June. The Finnish Olympic champion, P. Nui'ini, broke- two .world's records. Ho covered 1500 metres in 3min 53 3-ssec, and 5000 metres in 14min 28 3-ssec.
The previous record for 1500 metres was held by A. K. Kivat, of 3min 55 4-5 sec, cmited in 1912 at New York City. The 5000 im.4rcs rocoril was lidil by l"t. Kololinuiiner. tiucl wilts created i>t Sluekliolm in IGI2. Mil; distance being covered in liniin 3d 3-ssec.
