WHAT'S THE GOOD?
The young man had been rejected by the girl of his choice.
"Woman," he said moodily, "is a delusion and a snare. The worst of it is she never said 'No' till I'd spent all my cash on her."
His listeners felt genuinely sorry for him.
"Never mind, old boy," said one, cheerfully, "there, arc as good fish in the sea, you know, as ever were caught." "That's true enough," agreed the unwanted suitor: "but what's the good of that when you'-ye used up all your bait ?"
