CASE OF SUICIDE
• Concerning the , death of a domestic named Evelyn Thompson, 40 years of age, who was 'found dead at 64, Hatait'ai road, on Tuesday, an inquest was conducted by the Coroner, Mr. £.- Page, S.M., at the Magistrate's Court yesterday. Div H. J. 'Rawson said that there was a strong smell of gas in the room in which deceased was found, and in his opinion death was due to gas poisoning. Dr. Hector expressed the'opinion that the condition of the brain and one of the lungs would have caused depression. The Coroner, after hearing further evidence, found that deceased committed suicide by poisoning 'herself .with conl gas at the residence of her employer, 64, Hataitai road, while she was in a depressed state of mind, i ■■■'■-.
