CHARGE OF PERJURY
A BANKRUPT BARONET.

Sir Derrick Wernher, son of Lady Ludlow (w.hose home in Piccadilly was recently rifled of tha famous ' jewels collected by her foTmer 'husband, Sir Julius Wernher), has ..been arrested and # charged with perjury,, which it is alleged he committed, during bankruptcy' proceedings on 6th May, 1912. He declares he knows nothing of the alleged offence.
Accused was adjudged bankrupt in ,1912. His father, a famous South African magnate, left him. ,£I2OO a year while he was between the ages of 25 and 30 years, and £2400 a year afterwards, and the sum of £150,000 was placed in trust for his children.'
. Accused's younger ■ brothers were left £1,000,000 and £1,500,000 respectively;
