lhe "Daily Telegraph" says that among the Conservatives alone was/there unanimity. They polled 250 votes out of a possible 257. Colonel W.. It. Campion had already applied for the Chiltcrn Hundreds, and was therefore unable to vote. It is estimated that between 20 and 30 Labour members favoured four of the resolutions, and voted'accordingly.; the rest abstained. °
Tlie "Daily Chronicle," commenting on Mr. Ramsay Mac Donald's speech, points out: "He blew hot and cold,, and seemed to fear the rejection of the resolutions would be misunderstood in the Dominions. _ He added: 'I will not be happy in. resisting these proposals, but I must.' "
