Tlioae. who have not yet made their .-entries for the coming ■ Wellington Winter Show would do well to bear in mind. too fact that the last day for sending in applications for space and entries in the competitive classes is on 25th June, at 5 p.m.. Although in the immense sheds of _the Wellington Harbour Board, which have been secured for-the exhibition, there is over a hundred thousand feet of covered floor space, Ihis is being rapidly taken up, and it is daily becoming more evident that there will Be very little accommodation to spare as entries in the" competitive classes and applications for stands are coming m very freely. In additionl to the Winter Show proper (which, of course, includes fat and dairy stock and pigs), there will be an -industrial section, under the direction of the Wellington Industrial Association • an Olympia Motor Show, under the direction of the Wellington Motor" Association ; and the forty-second annual show of tho Poultry, Canary,'- Pigeon and Cat Society. / '. The Department of: Agriculture will make a comprehensive display in the -Winter Show Building, illustrative of tne development of the primary products, and will;also make a special exhibit of some of the fine Red-polled cattie from the Central Development Farm at Wereroa. •

A section which draws large entries irom both town and country is that of the Home Industries and Cookery,' which will give opportunity for interesting comparisons between the handiwork of housewives from both the town and country.. In the'fruit section entries are comhie ing m from all parts of the Dominion, and it is evident.that there will be good displays of the semi-tropical fruits from the Far North, while apples and pears from Ilawkea Bay, Nelson; and from Central Otago in the Far South will meetin competition.
