A MODEL COUNTRY
NEW ZEALAND EULOGISED EXAMPLE TO REST OF THE EMPIRE. (DSTTBD PSBSS ASSOCUTION.—COPIEKmT.) (ACSTRAUAB-NBW ZEALAND ' CABLB ASSOCIATION.) / . m : LONDON, 16th June.Mr. Fenton llacpherson, in the second o» his series of articles in the "Daily Chronicle," states:—"New Zealand is an ideal country for newcomer farmers. It is difficult to realise'that the country had been developed in such a short epace of time. One cannot fail to be impressed by, the well-laid-out towns, splendidly-equipped ports, gigantic schemes of water power, and the general use of labour-saving devices; but it is not on-individual effort* alone that the country depends for • its prosperity. Coupled with that is the collective spirit of co-operation, which is a phenomenal feature of the .Dominion's economic life.' By linking individual with cooperative efforts _ in production, transport, and marketing, Now Zealanders are attaining a ( standard of efficiency which is a model to the rest of the Empire."
