■ Donald M'Kinnon, with two previous convictions for drunkenness, was fined £2. . :
Joseph Murphy, a second offender, for drunkenness, was fined £1.
Ernest Kent was charged before Messrs. A. Coles and D. Armstrong, J.P s., at Petone, this morning, with the theft of a case of sin, valued at £7 • the property of Mr. P. Farley. Senior-Ser-geant M'Kelvey stated that, ■ when stolen on Thursday last, the case con-tained-12 bottles of liquor, but that only six remained when accused was arrested. Kent was remanded until Wednesday next.
