The sensational forest • fire j scenes in this thrilling drama of the old ir.nd new south come at the climax of the story, when one of the "Cajan" hill men has been arrested, charged, with the murder of a revenue officer. His brothers, in revenge, for his arrest, set fire to the forest which surrounds the cabin in which he is being held. Annette Kellerman in "Venus o£ the South Seas" is the other attraction—a picture made in New Zealand, with -wonderful scenes of submarine fantasy, with a living mermaid disporting herself.beneath the crystal waters of the Nelson coast.
