LONDON, 12th June.
The critical phase in the London underground dispute passed as the outcome of a meeting of the committee o« the Electrical Trade Union to consider an extension of the strike to sii the power-station men. The meeting decided that so far as the Electiical Trade Union was concerned the strike should be called off, and a meeting of the London district committee will bo held to-morrow to consider the whole position.. Thus the strike is again wholly unofficial.
(AUSTRALIAN-SEW ZEALAND CABLE ASSOCIATION.) LONDON, 13th June. The " Daily Herald " says the result of the late hour decision is that London's unofficial strike has ended. Mr. Akehurst, one of the leaders, said: "We were beaten not so much by the companies as by the National Union of Raihvaymen. The position laid before the men was that if they did not return a lock-out would follow, and the whole service would close down. We ai'e returning, only to fight at no distant date."
