DRIVEN TO THE STICKING POINT.
When a worried-looking man recently applied for settlement of a claim for fire insurance-, the agent asked, "Much damage?" "Not much," tho man said, " just a door;" " How much would a new door cost?" "About a pound" " When did tho fira happen ?" The man hesitated for a moment, and then replied About thirty years ago." " Thirty yaara ago?" "Yes, sir." "And you have waited all these years to report it?" " Yes, sir." "Jlow in the world did that happen?" "Well, sir," said the man the womenfolk at my house .have been at mo to do somothmg about that door evor since it was burned, and I couldn't stand it any longer."
