A conference of representatives of "the Tramway Board, the Trades Hall, and the tramway employees discussed the strike, and the outlook is now. more hopefull ' - Cabinet has decided not to intervene, as the Tramway Board is clothed . with all the necessary outhority to enforce discipline in its service and protect the public. The Tramway Board, after a long discussion with the Trades Hall Disputes' Committee and other representatives of the men, refused .to reinstate the gripman involved, and the .strike remains unsettled. The board's attitude is that work must be resumed before anything further is done in the matter. ■•/.
