I.v There/waS but a small attendance' of householders of the Te Aro School dis•trict in the Early Settlers' Hall, due no .doubt, to-.the fact that no election was necessary, the' following committeemen being returned unopposed: Messrs. J. . Dwyer, J. Dooley, J. W. Trim, J. R. Twyneham, B. E. Lemmon, C. Fox, and Mesdames J. Moran and J. Devanny. . Tlie committee's report, placed before the meeting by the chairman of the out-,'-going committee, Mr. L. Hennessey, stated that both the children's'".sports and picnic fund and the capitation fund.were in credit. During the year the committee had placed £40 with the Education Board for the.improvement. of the playground at the Mitchell town School,, and- a sum j of- £30 had. been raised-by-the committee by means of concerts, etc., which, together with -the ..'Department's'- subsidy,' i \Vould be paid-.towards-the. new infant ! school equipment.
