TRAMCAR AND LORRY

SEQUEL TO A COLLISION.

• The attention of Mr. E: Page, S.M.,:\ was 'engaged to-day in a civil action- in-' which the Wellington City Council-pro-' ceeded against John Ingrajn Collie,:-: a. r carrier, for the recovery: of! £35 4s,"as.^ damages alleged to have "been .caused negligent driving by Ingram.- ;"'-.; Mr. J. O'Shea appeared for the City: Council, and Ingram was represented "by - Mr. E. K.'Kirkcaldie. , 'l^M' The statement of claim set out that on., the 24th January last, about 5.50 p.m., ' a .tramcar- and a two-horse lorrv;came" into 'collision at the junction-pi--, Waring Taylor street and Customhouse-:, quay, the lorry, at the time being driye-tr-by: a servant of the ■ defendant.
