ENTRIES RECEIVED.

The Executive Committee of the Wellington Football Association met last evening, Mr. W- Duncan* presiding. There were also present: Messrs. F. H. Smyth, H. Craighead, G. Aers, B. Mabin, C. Webster, R. Weir, J. -M'Kenzie, A. Williams, H. Spolsky, L. White, C. X Dick, and H. Live'rsage:, The •chairman reported that he had been' informed that all proceeds from the football matches/against the Fleet would go to the Soccer authorities. It was not known. at present whether it would be possible get a New Zealand team together, as replies had.not yet been received from all associations. The cost of. assembling a New Zealand team would be approximately £100. - The Basin Reserve had been obtained for the 26th\ April and 3rd May, and it had been suggested that a charge of'6d be made for admission in the match against Wellington and Is for the New Zealand . match. ' ' ■ In connection with the guarantees for the' Chinese "tour, Mr. C. K. Dick reported that already £110 of the £350 required had been guaranteed. The chairman, who'had been deputed to interview the Chinese merchants, stated he'had carried out his instructions,'and had been informed that there was no interest in. the tour among the Chinese. A letter was received from the Schools' Football Association, stating that it was not possible to introduce the game in the Thorndon . School, although permis- , sion -had been obtained for non-partici-pants in Soccer being nominated for representative matches. ' The club was also given permission to play Daubers at Palmerston ■at Easter. . Discussion arose over correspondence from the N.Z.F.A. in which it was stated that in ,the,. Fleet matches, the New Zealand Council had decided to take 15 per cent, from the net gate towards a fund for the visit of overseas teams. The opinion was expressed that if the council was playing a New Zealand match,- it should not require the 15 per cent. If the council was not playing a New Zealand match, then it was considered that the council should receive the money, as the : Wellington . Association would reap the benefit, in the future.
