RIFLE SHOOTING

OLD NAVALS CLUB.

The Old Navals Defence Riflo Club fired its final match of the third series and also the final for the Duncan Memorial Cup, at Trentham on Saturday last, over distances of 900 and 1000 yards. Trentham was at its worst for long-range shooting, a light headwind, varying quickly both in strength and direction, made it impossible for competitors to keep on the target, with the result that low scoring was the order of the afternoon's shoot. The best scores were as follow:—

J\ Standidgc. 217. 0, 217: C. Lawton, 195. 18. 214: R, Bialiop, 189, 17. 206: J. .Alexander, 151. 43. 194; f. E. Frank-]j-n, 193, 0, 193, l.iiiii Si»Lui'Ji(y's nlißßt wMipletca the club'js progrujiuiie for the seosottt
