TO THE EDITOR,

Sir,—A complaint has been made to the association by the Public Works Department that motorists proceeding across the Rimutaka Hill road neglect to give any audible sign of their approach when turning corners or passing workmen. Due to this neglect, accidents have occurred which could have been averted, and the association, therefore requests all users of this road to take notice cf this complaint.—l am etc I. V. WILSON, .''
