DEBATE ON SINGAPORE
A debate that promises to be of exceptional interest has been arranged by the Victoria College Debating' Sooiety to take place in the gymnasium buildings •' attached .to. the college this evening, at 7.45 o'clock. The proposal for debate is in the form of a motion commending the Mac Donal d% Government on its abandonment of tho SingaporeBase, which will bo moved by Mr. J. W. Davidson, and opposed by Mr. Taldwyn. In view of tho considerable public discussion which has taken place on the .subject, it is anticipated that the debate will be of value in presenting both viewpoints.
