At the fortnightly Wellington hide and sheepskin sale yesterday. about:-550 bales of wool, including, "binned" wool,: were offered, together with fadges and bags. There was a good attendance of' buyers, and keen .competition' took place for the wool, which ■ consisted mainly of ci-oss-bfeds, skirtings, and binned wool, with odd bales of bellies, pieces, and locks. The, principal offering was 3(JO bales by ,the Loan and Mercantile Company,' who disposed of this quantity at prices, according to quality, from Id to 2d ad--vance on last sale.. A few bags of small lots' were' offered by other brokers,, satisfactory prices-being realised.'
