A TURN OF FATE.
There is much ■ interesting history attaching to the tis.s. Algeria, the latest addition to ,the Anchor line fleet. She is an ex-enemy 'vessel purchased by Messrs. Henderson, Brothers from the Ministry of Shipping, and is' cenefallv admitted .to be a splendid example o"f .German naval architecture. She was built in 1914 f O r the Deutsche Ost'Afrika Lime, and was" intended for that company's "Bound-Africa Tours." The ss. Kigoma, as she was then styled was shortly after war was declared taken over by the German; Government; carned, troops' to Russia; and later .was fitted up for the express purpose of taking .part in the projected invasion of Britain. ' Since the struggle terminated she has been, better employed—and by a'strange turn of poetic justice she'once made a 1 trip to Germany with prisoners of war!. . ■ :
