BEAUFORD BREAKS DOWN
1 SYDNEY, Bth March. Ifc is reported that Beauford, ivho has been in training at Newcastle, has completely broken down owing to a recurrence of the old leg tendon trouble. He is unlikely to race again for a long time, if at all. This ends the hope of his meeting The Hawke at the forthcoming Itandwick autumn fixturos.
