MAGISTRATE'S^ COURT
Mr. E. Page, S.M., presided at today s sitting of the Magistrate's' Court. One first offender for drunkenness was fined ss, in default twenty-four hours, and another first offender Was fined 10s. the amount of his bail. A young seaman named Bichard Wild who was charged .with disorderly behaviour while drunk on the Lambton railway station yesterday afternoon, was fined £4, in default seven days' imprisonment.
A ; remand till the Bth February waa granted in the case of John' Charles Wheeler, who appeared on a charge of being idle and disorderly,,.and w.ith insufficient lawful, "means of suppctrt. Timi Piti, alias Jaines'P.iii; ali^ Tami Pitr, who appeared' charged With the theft of 10s and a packet of cigarettes, was sentenced to one month's hard labour. ■ ■■
