Time, 55sec. ' In an exhibition 500 metres Charlton established an Australasian record of 6min 46sec. The Stats mile championship resulted • Borg, 1; Christie, 2; Springfield (Queensland) and HunUey dead heat for third place. Borg led a.ll the way, and j won by 120 yards, or one lap.
