QUITE SUCCESSFUL

HOKITIKA, 29th January. The British and Intercolonial Exhibition is now drawing to a close. It has been definitely decided to close next Saturday evening. The Prime Minister has been invited to attend. The Exhibition has been well attended, and the original estimate of 30,000 visitors has. been well exceeded. The revenue from all sources has been well maintained, and ,the financial result of the venture now1 rests on the satisfactory disposal of the plant and material" bought for the Exhibition, including the building material, bedding supplies,, electric lighting plant, etc. The management expresses satisfaction at the general result and at the fine advertisement for the district and the Coast generally. The local public and the guarantors are well satisfied with the all round success'which has atteded the Exhibition
