RADIUM FUND
FURTHER APPEALS IN THE COUNTRY.
Dr. Ewen and Mr. W. S. Wilson are proceeding to Dannevirke to 'speak on the radium appeal at a-public meeting called by the Mayor to-night, when it is hoped that the fund will receive a .substantial lift from that district. Arrangements are also being made to hold public meetings at Palmerston North and Feilding. The appeal is1 being taken up wtth vigour ih Blenheim and Wanganui and the Mayor of New Plymouth is also calling a meeting to further the campaign. The fund was put over the £8000 mark to-day by a cheque from Mr. Sydney Kirkcaldie. Other local contributions have been promised and are expected in the course of .a day or two. j The position of the fund to-day is as follows:—■
