FATE OF PIXMUDE AIRSHIP

The report of the Commission of Inquiry into the Dixmude' airship disaster does not arrive at a definite conclusion, but the commission is inclined to believe that the craft was struck by .lightning and fell into the sea from a height of approximately-6000 feet. >.
The story of the Dixmude disaster is so recent-as to be familiar to most readers. This French airship, an ex-German Zeppelin, handed over in accordance with the terms of the Peace Treaty, was cruising over North Africl, when a storm blew her; out to sea. She was never seen again, but the bodies of the commander and two of the crew were picked up on the shores of Sicily, and some wreckage was found.
