THE MEANING OF DEATH
Mrs. Rona Olsen, who has returned from a visit to America, lectured at the Carlton Hall on Sunday, under the auspices of the Church of Spiritual Kesearch, upon the subject of "The Meaning of Death." She claimed that in the' light of modern research death was but a birth into a new life of fuller consciousness; that it was not the end of things but the avenue that set the spirit free that it might rise to the higher planes of existence promised by_ the Nazarene, Who said:—"l come to abolish ' death"; and, "in My Father's House are many mansions." Death was the great anodyne of all physical pain and sorrow which the student of spiritual truth could meet with joy and confidence as the natural plan of progress. There was no death in all the universe of God, for all things live unto Him. No greater punishment' could have been inflicted upon humanity than to sentence it to continuous existence in its frail physical covering. How much greater was the Father's love that opened a path •of eternal progress to every human soul that willed to tread' it, by the path of eternal good.
