FINANCIAL RESULT OF MATCHES.
_ Figures presented at last night's meeting of the Wellington Cricket Association by the treasurer (Mr. T. F. Martin) indicated that so far the association has made a profit of about £170 on representative matches this, season. The approximate position was as followsAuckland match: Receipts £359, expenses £188, profit £171. Canterbury match: Receipts £354, expenses £209 profit £145._ The Canterbury and Auckland Associations have yet to receive their share of the takings', and Welling-, ton has also to receive part of the gate of the Otago-Wellington match in Dunedin. The Town v. Country match resulted in a loss of about £27. Mr. Martin added that a big gate would be necessary at the New South Wales-Welling-ton match in order to show a profit for. the season on representative fixtures. Mr. C. G. Wilson: 'We will have to watch our expenses very carefully."
