Venizelos, who was tremendously cheered, stated that the Government held that the only means of solving the dynastic question was/a plebiscite. This declaration aroused protests from the Republicans, and M. Papanastassiou proposed the introduction of Bills for the overthrow ot the Dynasty and the establishment of the Republic. M. Venizelos, interrupting, said • that if the people were allowea to choose their own regime and favonred a Republic, he would tell the people, that there was no occasion to fear external dangers in connection with the dynastic question.
