, FOXTO'N, 22nd January. The firsi day's meeting of the.Foxton Racing Club was held in v ideal summer weather; the attendance was a record. The sum of £22,246 was put through the totalisator, as against £18,835 for the first day .last year. Results :— • ' Poroutawhao Hack Hurdles, of 150 soys; one mile and three-quarters.—Ad-vent, 9.0, '1; Bonny Rill, 10.9, 2; Country Life, 9.5, 3. Also started : Waimatao 10.2, Kaforte 10.1, Probate 9.11, Sling Camp .9.4, Tarquin 9.0. Won by a nose, three lengths between second and third. Time, 3min 17 2-ssec. - Himitangi Hack Handicap, of 140 soys; six furlongs.—Waetea, 7.11, 1; Azeeta, 7.4, 2; Atapo, 8.11, 3.
