PALMERSTON N., This Day. The Manawatu Racing Club's Meeting opened to-day in beautiful weather. There was a large attendance, and the course was good. Results:—

Tokomaru Hurdles, of 225 soys; one mile and three-quarters.—Eonmaik, 10.4, 1; Otauru Kid, $.11, 2; Sir Rosebery, 10.9, 3. Scratched: Vagabond, Santiago.
