TEAM'S ITINERARY CRITICISED.

The itinerary of the New South Wales tennis team was severely criticised by the Canterbury Association, particularly, regarding the clashing of the Test match with tile New ' Zealand Championships. The president (Mr. Seay) said the Match Committee had expressed strong disapproval at the clashing of dates, and had resolved to protest to the New Zealand Association. . ■*
Mr. Harman said" that it was "unfair to ask players who had prospects of'winning a, championship to play in the. Test match, as it would seriously jeopardise their chances of winning > Mr. Browning said the association was not going to support arrangements which necessitated Test and New Zealand championship matches at the same time. The fact that no mention of the match against Canterbury had been mentioned was enough to call for strong disapproval, t ,'
The chairman said the Match Committee thought the itinerary the most absurd thing ever drawn up. It was unanimously decided to disapprove of the itinerary. The association also discussed the proposal to appoint an English professional coach, and referred the matter to the Match Committee; in conjunction with Mr. T. R. Quill, who had made inquiries on the subject while in England.
