A SENSATIONAL STORY
ORDER TO THE DOCKYARDS.
(UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.—COFIRIfIHT.) (PUBLISHED IN THE TIMES.) (Received 12th December, 10 a.m.) LONDON, 11th December. THe Paris correspondent of " The Times " says that a sensational story of hurried French naval preparations is printed in the " l'Humanite." It states that M. Raiberti, the Naval Minister, instructed the authorities at Brest to proceed as rapidly as possible and pre-' pare the existing warships in order that they may be seaworthy by Ist April. There must be no cessation of Work on fete days or Sundays; night shifts must be established, and the building of new vessels on the slips must be suspended. The paper adds that the same feverish anxiety is shown at Rochefort, where the ,b,uilding of three gunboats is being expedited; and new vessels are also being rapidly constructed at Toulon.
