WELLINGTON CENTRE.

Delegates to the, Wellington Centre of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association met in the V.M.C.A. rooms last evening. Mr. A. C. Kitto, who was unanimously elected deputy-chair-man for the coming year, presided, ihere were also present: Messrs L A w a<2\ J- B™BIE'8 ™BIE' F> Hod Sson, G. The resignation of Mr. W. AnW as delegate from tha Pbrirua Club was accepted with regret. . The Ma-naVatn Club asked for a ruling as to whether a Winner of an amateur trbphy could hold a trophy after he had turned professional. It: was decided 'to reply to the effect that in the opinion of the centre" it would not be nghfto allow a professiohal tohold the tr6phy, although no objection could be taken to having his name 'inscribed thereon.

The 'Old Boys' Club informed the centre that it had been decreed expedinnt to disband the club. " -

Applications for the country clubs' championship were made by the Wairarapa, Napier, and Levin sub-centres, lhe question of allocation was held over v until the next meeting. The Napier Club applied for feaffiliahon with the Wellington Centre and the New Zealand Club. It Was; decided to send the application on to the New Zealand Council, -with a favourable re commendation.

It was decided to make a recommehUation to the Administration Committee that the provincial championships should be held on 19th January, in order to include the meeting in the Welcome Week activities. The Victoria College Club was granted permission to hold meetings on Saturday sth April, and Easter Monday, 21st April. On the first-mentioned date it is proposed to hold the annual interfaculty tournament, and on Easter Monday the New Zealand University championship meeting.
