THE TOUKNAMENT DRAW,
The Welliagton Bowling Centre met laat night, Mr. F. Meadowcroft presiding. ■ The treasurer (Mr. J. Kershaw) reported that the credit -balance stood at £91 2s. All club 'levies had been paid. It was reported that the official test ot centre testing bowls would be carried out /at Christchurch on Saturday, 12th January. Mr. 'G. W.; 'Martin will represent the Wellington Centre when >fhe.' test is being carried out, and the vari-, ous test bowls are being compared with one another in accordance with a suggestion from the council i'of the Dominion TJowling Association. - : Mr. A. Coles was appointed to represent the centre at the meeting of Dominion delegates at Christchurch on 12th January. Arrangements for the Veterans' Gala Day on 13th February were appointed. ■ The president of the centre is to donate medals for the winning team, and suitable medallions are to be presented to all the other flayers "in 'Commemoration of the occasion. It was decided, without discussion, that the centre tournament should be played on the following .greons:—Newtown, Hataitaii 'Victoria, Thorndon, and Wellington. Fifty-four'- teams have entered for the tournament, the draw for the first round of which is as fallows;;— ! Section A.—Powell (Wellington) v. I WidSop (Kelburn); 'Smith fHataitai) V.
