CARTERTON, This Day. Mr. P. Langstone, Labour M P for Waimarino, addressed a meeting here last night. He condemned the Government policy all through. He advocated the abolition of freehold and leasehold land tenure, substituting security of tenure thereby. Once on, no man could be put off the land. He objected to the extravagant methods of the Government in raising Joans in London, and urged the establishment of a State bank. He advocated proportional representation and condemned an expenditure of £500 - 000 per - annum on the Singapore base, urging the amount would be better spent on propaganda for peaceful ideals
