MILITARY PAGEANT
PUBLIC MEETING OF CITIZENS
TO-NIGHT.
_ Considerable interest has been aroused m the Grand Military Tournament and Citizen-soldiera' Pageant, which will be held at Newtown Park from Ist to Bth March next, in aid of the local Regimental and Community Club funds. The pageant, will be entitled "The Arms .through the Ages," and the material is being specially imported from London, the costumes, wigs, arms, and accoutrements being exactly the same as were used at the Royal. Naval and Military Tournament held at Olympia in ■May, 1922. In addition "Jousting Before Queen Elizabeth," the star attraction of th© pageant ,at Arundel Castle, busses, in August of this year, will be staged. A public meeting of citizens will be held m the Council Chamber at the Town Hall at 8 o'clock to-night for the purpose of furthering the project. The Mayor (Mr. R. A. Wright) will' preside, and the speakers will be Mr A Gray K.C., and Major W. I. K. Jennings' iN.Z.o.C ■ . i
