The efforts of R. A. Rose, the well-known distance runner, L. A. Tracy, sprinter, H. E. Wilson,.hurdler, and P. Munro, field sportsman, will not by any means be the only attractions. The usual well-varied programme has been drawn up, and with running, hurdling, cycling, field events, ladies' races, and boys' events, for all of which: the fields will be large, there will be much of interest, with .an excellent finale in the relay challenge race for the Heenan Baton. It is expected that the relay race will be contested by about five teams, in which the leading sprinters will be.included. Another special event will be the 220 yards-championship for B grade athletes. The club competitions will also be commenced. -
