HATAITAI RADIUM APPEAL

CAMPAIGN COMMENCED.

To-day the Municipal Electors' Association of Hataitai started their campaign for funds for the Radium (Radiation) Appeal.

It is intended that circulars bearing on the value of Radium in the fight against cancer and other diseases be delivered to every house in the district. Ladies will canvass for subscriptions, and collecting boxes 'will be put in business places.

On Thursday evening, at the Methodist Churchrbom, Waitoa road, Drs. D. Macdonald Wilson and P. D. Cameron will deliver addresses.

■A grand finale .will take place on Saturday, . Ist December, at the Hataitai School, where a. carnival flannel dance will be held. Intending patrons are requested to secure their tickets early, as the number is limited to the capacity of the hall.

Already several substantial cheques have been received from Hataitai residents for. the fund, and the secretary, Mr. H. A. Searle, will be pleased to acknowledge further sucji donatioue..
