ORGAN RECITAL.
The City Organist (Mr. Bernard F. Page) gave his weekly organ recital last evening. The first item .was Mendelssohn's Sonata No.----6, consisting of'a Choral with variations, Fugue and Andante. Rachmaninoff's "llelodie" was played with delicate feeling: This pretty piece is one of the "Morceaux de Fantaisie." Op. 3,"written for, piano. The Pastel, No. 3, Op. 92,. by Karg-Elert,"i was much appreciated. Of all .the three, pieces called "Pastels," No. 3 shows the' composer quite at his best. Cesar' Franck's Prelude, Fugue,' Tttrd Variation (Op. 18) was also given. This piece'?" displays all Eranck's genius, - freedom, \ and admirable development of hit* themes. The last number was Niemann'si Suite (Op. 87). .... ;•.,,.. ;
