THORNDON v. V.M.C.A.
The game between Thorndon and V.M.C.A. was left at'an interesting stage when stumps were drawn. Thorndon were dismissed for 221 runs, top score being registered by R. Ellern, with 64, which included a dozen hits to the fence. A few minutes before 5 o'clock, the association took to the wickets, and the present position is that 132 runs have been compiled at a cost of six wickets; H. Murphy and Haughey will continue batting next Saturday. The former has 38 to his credit. Cox ran up 48 nicely, and was then caught cleverly, by Carruthers.
